If you have dreamed about making a career in creating incredible automobile production,designs and services then a Diploma in Automobile Engineering is perfect for you.
Automobile Engineering is a branch of engineering which comprises designing, manufacturing and operating automobiles. It deals with vehicle engineering in which students get to learn about designing and building motorcycles, cars, trucks, bikes, etc. The Automobile industry is one of the fastest-growing industries with various career opportunities in both the public and private sectors globally. This field is filled with great scope for automobile and vehicle engineers. However, building a great career in the automobile industry comes with great technical and managerial skills.Pursuing a Diploma in Automobile Engineering will equip you with a certain level of knowledge of automobile design required to step into the fast-paced industry.
Diploma in Automobile Engineering is a full-time 3-year Automobile engineering program. Automobile engineering is the sub-branch of Mechanical Engineering which is designed to help students gain knowledge and skills required by professionals in the automobile industry. Most of the industrial manufacturing in India involves the production of Automobile Component which in turn Automobile Engineering program has Huge Scope in the Manufacturing, Service and Design Industry.
NPK’s Department of “Automobile Engineering” has an intake of 60 students. The Department has state of the art Automobile Engineering Lab. We own 6 Cars, many two-wheelers, different types of engines and various cut section models. Auto Department regularly conducts training programs for mechanics, service advisers, and faculty members from other institutes. Our Department is treated as a nodal institute by MSBTE and the faculty members work as resource persons for various MSBTE Programs.
The students have carried out various ambitious projects like “Battery Operated Wheel Chair” for a divyang person, Reverse locking system for heavy commercial vehicles, Electro-Pneumatic Gear Shifting Arrangement, Maint-Aid fixture for Tractor, Weed Remover, Regenerative Braking System, Water Injection for diesel engine, fuel cell car prototype, Petrol injection for motorcycle etc. These projects have won many state-level prizes and are appreciated nationally and internationally too.
Many Automobile Organizations like Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, L & T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Gabrial, Heldex India, Sai Service, Hero group etc, conduct campus interviews for the final year students in New Polytechnic Kolhapur.More than Sixty students of Department of Automobile Engineering are working as Assitant Motor Vehicle Inspectors in R.T.O. Department all over the Maharashtra State.
